Good News for Young Shooters — $5 Million from MidwayUSA

MidwayUSA youth Foundation grant funding 2019

The MidwayUSA Foundation has recently distributed $1.7 million in summer cash grants to 521 youth shooting teams across the USA. That brings the total annual amount of MidwayUSA Foundation funding to $5,000,000 for 2019. These grants cover youth team expenses such as ammunition, targets, travel, entry fees, and team gear. The MidwayUSA Foundation reports that up to 63,000 athletes will benefit from the $5 million in 2019 grants.

Earlier this year, $3.3 million was paid to teams that applied for their December grant. Therefore, this latest grant cycle brings the total cash grants paid to over $5 million in 2019. Notably, over 1,400 youth shooting teams have benefited from MidwayUSA Foundation team cash grants in 2019.

MidwayUSA Foundation’s Executive Director Scott Reynolds states: “Youth shooting teams across the country are developing young men and women into well-rounded adults through the lessons of competition and character development[.] These team grants, enabled by their endowment accounts, will allow these teams to continue to hone their skills and expand their teams with fewer funding worries.”
