The GeoBallistics software is offered for both iOS (Apple) and Android platforms. This software features an advanced 3DOF solver and continuously updated bullet library. GeoBallistics software has other very sophisticated features:
1. Four Operating Modes (HUD, Map, Chart, and Comp). 2. Atmospherics Bluetooth Connectivity with Kestrel and Weatherflow. 3. Map Mode with GPS Rangefinder (use to range targets, create range cards). 4. Rifle Data and Range Cards available and synched via internet cloud servers.

The Gunbroker Mobile Apps for Android and iOS users are no longer fully functional. You can see listings but you cannot bid or buy. The reason is that “big tech” — Google and Apple — are no longer supporting the Apps. Gunbroker notes that: “Unfortunately, Google has removed our app from the Google Play store. They state our app violates their guidelines. Here is what they told us:”
After review, GunBroker.com, com.gunbroker.android has been suspended and removed from Google Play due to a policy violation.
Issue: Violation of Dangerous Products policy
We don’t allow apps that facilitate the sale of explosives, firearms, ammunition or certain firearms accessories. We also don’t allow apps that provide instructions for the manufacture of explosives, firearms, ammunition, restricted firearm accessories, or other weapons.
Why Apple Removed Gunbroker iOS App
Apple has modified its “Objectionable Content” policy. New Item 1.3 now specifically targets gun sales:

Apps should not include content that is offensive, insensitive, upsetting, intended to disgust, or in exceptionally poor taste. Examples of such content include:

At SHOT Show 2019, Meprolight introduced a new tactical sighting system that may be a precursor of “intelligent” optics in the years ahead. The new MEPRO FORESIGHT, a “digitally augmented” weapon sight, provides essential tactical data projected on to the transparent optical lens. The sight will display a variety of data including a compass, sight level, a variety of reticles, shot counter and even a compass, all for a $714.00 MSRP.
This system offers a 1.3″ x 0.8″ viewing screen in a fairly compact package. Overall the FORESIGHT is 4.6″ x 2.65″ x 2.35″ and weighs a mere 9.9 ounces.
The data, projected in real-time, includes battery level, sensor data, Bluetooth connectivity and a shot counter (with future software upgrade). The FORESIGHT boasts five pre-set reticle types, a horizontal level indicator (very useful!), and even a built-in compass. Display Brightness for the digital reticles and info items are controlled automatically with a built-in sensor.
The FORESIGHT offers a digitally-controlled zeroing system (which controls the center of the reticle relative to the target downrange). This allows you to modify your zero with different loads. And more importantly, you can more the FORESIGHT from gun to gun, and have different zeros for each rifle. The Meprolight MEPRO FORESIGHT APP allows up to 10 zeroed weapon profiles or user profiles. Simply load a present zeroing profile from Meprolight’s mobile APP (Android and iOS) through a Bluetooth interface. The APP also offers a reticle database along with the previously-stored profiles.

Range cards can be shared or printed using the Email Range Card Function.
The FREE App works on both Android and iOS operating systems, and is available on Google Play and the App Store. It is optimized for Bushnell riflescopes and reticles, but is compatible with all optics. Once downloaded, the App functions off the grid — no cell service required.

The new ZEISS Hunting App offers many practical functions: full-featured ballistics calculator, field notes with photo archive, compass function, GPS tagging for documentation of hunting experiences, and a detailed weather forecast service. The Hunting App is offered as a FREE download, in both English and German versions.
We are impressed at how this new App integrates multiple useful features — ballistics solver, compass, GPS tagging, hunt history. The “Field Notes” function can record a wide variety of info — you can save photos, record your shots and hits, log animal sightings during the hunt, and even plot game locations on a map. Zeiss explains: “This allows users to optimally record events, the game population in the hunting territory, and their own hunting experiences.” Shots can be tagged via GPS through the shooter’s and the target’s position, and then displayed on a map. The integrated ballistic calculator allows hunters to easily customize the settings to suit their favorite cartridges. Modeled after the web-based Zeiss Ballistics Calulator, the new Mobile App is tailored to work precisely with Zeiss Ballistic reticles. Mike Jensen of Carl Zeiss Sports Optics explained: “We wanted those who use our proprietary ballistic reticles to have a ballistic tool that could be used virtually anywhere you have a signal for your device.”
The Zeiss Ballistic Calculator App allows users to pick their ballistic reticle from a drop-down menu. The user also has the ability to select factory or hand load data as well as environmental variables, and then the system will calculate and display the optimum magnification setting. With this system, distant yardages now coincide with the Zeiss ballistic reticle subtensions.
