I think he is talking about 100 yards not 1000 yards. But then it has been 11 years since he wrote this article, so who cares at this point?

Your math in Paragraph 4 is off.

@ 1000 yards, 1 MOA = 10.47″

@ 1000 yards, 1 shooter’s MOA (AKA rifle MOA) is 10.00″

That 5% difference is worth 1/2″, not 20″.

In the fifth paragraph, there is an error. ‘Really’ should be ‘rely’ if I am reading the intend of the sentence.
Otherwise, this is a nice article. I have a Leupold scope that with four “1/4″ clicks, moves the point of impact 1.5″ at 100 yards rather than the nominal 1.0″.

Editor: Thanks for noticing the mistake. I’ve fixed it. Sounds like you’ve got a scope that’s quite a bit off spec.
