You know, if you don't mind joining you belly to the earth, F-Class T/R is a limited class with a more restrictive weight limit. .223 or .308 - That's it. And now with the Savage T/R gun on the street for under $1K and shooting bug holes, What else do you need?

I read the forum comments and I don't see why a factory rifle (Savage 12 F Class Precision Target Rifle) would not be perfect for such a class. The rifle could be ordered from most gun dealers so competitors would not have to locate a gunsmith. The rifle is chambered in 6.5x284, plenty capable of 1000yds. The stock design will ride the bags. The accutrigger may not be the best but we are looking for a level playing field. The sactioning bodies would have an easier time with a factory produced rifle as the class rules would be much easier to define. The scope could be defined by name if one producer was selected or by limiting scopes to a specific MSRP. Just my two cents.
