I will be reloading 7 mm WSM with the following components: powder IMR 4831, bullet Nosler Partition 150 gr. I am looking for suggested
maximum and minimum powder charges for this combination.

Many thanks.
Mike

Editor: Mike, we will release our 7mm Cartridge Guide very soon. But your best bet is always to start with powder-makers' data. Hodgon offers an interactive reloading guide at: http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp

This includes data for Hodgdon, IMR, and Winchester powders.

I noticed your inquiry about available 7mm bullets. If someone doesn't send you a few as requested, I am the owner of "bullet Samples".Please go to my website and observe that I have two different weights in Berger VLD, 5 different weights in Sierra, 4 different Hornady offerings and 5 different weights of Nosler bullets. These average about 39 cents each, so if you get 2 of each, that's $7.80 plus shipping. You can order online if you choose to do so.

I have just developed a accurate bullet powder combination for my 300WSM necked down to a 7mm.
First I Took a 300wsm case and reduced the neck diameter using three different neck dies. I found it much easier to take the .270WSM case and run it thru a neck expanding die and neck it up to a 7mm. Much easier than necking it down from the 300WSM. The rifle I just built has a bat action, a 32' broughton 8 5c twist barrel with a vias brake. My best load has been 67 grains of RL 25, CCI Br2 primer, 180VLD berger and I am getting 3106 fps 5.56 SD and a 12.46 ES. This combination makes one tight hole at 100yards. I would love to send you a photo of my new rifle.

The 300WSM is my favorite for 1K BR. The best load I have found for my 28" 1-10 3G PacNor is the JLK210 over 62.5gr of H3831sc, Fed 210M primers seated .010 into the lands in Norma cases. Velocity is 2,700 to 2,725 depending on temperature at 2,800ft elevation.

This combination gave me a 5.42in Light Gun Aggregate in the 1/12/08 Sahuaro 1K match. Good enough for 2nd in the LG aggregate although I did win high total score. My best group of the three was 4.37 that day. Best light gun group of the day was 3.25, also shot by a 300WSM and JLK210's.

I've found this load to be very reliable at various temperatures. I switched to it when one day last year I watched another of our local shooters shoot a 5.25 10 shot group with the same load with a score of 100 4X. That got my attention!
