Many thanks for the informations. The advises about the hand-wrist position to adjust height were usefull to me and had greatly enhance my stability when aiming. I also found the step 5 picture a good and simple example to show a correct position, though for my self I got better stability when putting more weight on the front leg instead of evenly over both feet.

I am sure that all of your readers who look at the picture of the shooter with more than half of the butt above the shoulder will realize that this is only for low recoil rifles. For the rest, I will pass on a tip that I got from a local shooter, who had spent meny years on the local Marine Corps reserve rifle team. Raising your trigger arm elbow as high as can be reasonably be managed will allow a higher head position with the butt on the shoulder. As he explained it, this reduces the tension in the back of the neck to a minimum. He had gotten this tip from a 300 M shooter many years before that. For the very little off had shooting that I do, I have found that highly rated High Power shooters at our local range to be the "go to" people.
