This should be a call to arms for gun owners regarding nominees for the supreme court. The next time the Democrats play “keep away” with originalist nominees by threatening a phony filibuster, we should demand the conservatives (what’s left of them) to call their bluff. By the same token, if the Democrats nominate another Ruth Bader Ginsburg flaming liberal type, we should encourage the conservatives to stage a real filibuster to stop them. Think about it, we gun owners dodged a bullet by one vote (5 to 4) this time. Next time, and there will be a next time, we could just as easily take a bullet by one vote. We turned back “Comprehensive Immigration” ie: amnesty for illegals, we can do it, again, to protect our gun rights.

There is also the part about trigger locks. The ruling found a requirement for firearms to be stored with locks to be unconstitutional. For example page 2, ” 3. The handgun ban and the trigger-lock requirement (as applied to self-defense) violate the Second Amendment. ” I found this interesting and expect it to affect other states, such as MA, which has a locked storage requirement.

Oh, since this is the only comment, allow me to add, Justice Scalia Rocks!
