First off dose anyone really think they can get a repatable cut to 4 decimals with a hand held cuter. Don't be anal, Man made machines to do this.
The closest to a machine is the RCBS Trim Pro #90355 with RCBS case neck turner w/auto feed, you do have to buy the pilot mandrels separately for under ten bucks. What you get is a case trimmer that will trim cases to your specs. don't be anal +/- .001". You also have a neck turner when setup to your specs. will do it well almost to the anal point of .0005".
Almost forgot a feeler gauge set .001"-.035" cost abought 5 bucks at most
not 15 bucks for three.
If you are into gadgets(look it up)buy sinclair.

I would like to know if the adjustment knob can be moved unknowingly while holding the unit. Also if the mandrel is on an eccentric, will it take the cutter off center and have an effect on the cutting ability.

Yes, seems like a good one. I started out with their NT-1000, used automotive feeler gages to set cutter to 3 decimal places, but was never able to get repeatable adjustments to 4 decimals. All trial & error with some ruined Lapua cases. Bought the K&M for that very reason. If needing another in the future will consider the new Sinclair.
