I Installed Timney Trigger in 10/22 and at first was pleased on eaze of instalation and crisp trigger feel. However, upon test firing found that hammer would fail to lock back on every shot. Spent case was ejected and fresh round in chamber but hammer not cocked. I spoke with Keven at Timney and sent unit back. After several weeks they sent the unit back, no explanation of anything done and I still have same problem. Intalled Volquartsen trigger and the rifle shoots just fine. So much for Timney!

I don't know much of anything about the 10/22 other than I want one, now! Is there realy any difference in the older and newer models in acuracy and how they shoot?
I've looked around at the new guns available and for the stainless look I like it'll run from $250 to $275 when they can get one; but, thats for the weatherized stainless finish and I prefer the regulsr old style stainless finish wich is not offered new today.
I went to a gun show yesterday and saw an old Walmart, supposedly "distributers limited model" in the old style stainless for $350.
The green laminated stock had no noticable dings or scraches in the stock and looked like it had not been shot much, i'd give it an excellant condition rating.
I have heard from several dealers while looking at the newer models that they are more accureate than the old ones, why would that be?
Have they changed something about the gun; the barrel, the trigger, anything, or is this just smoke?
I plan to get an after market laminated walnut stock cause I realy like the look of stainless and wood.

Thanks for your opinion

The Rimfire Sporter matches as conducted by the CMP require a minimum trigger pull of 3 lbs. These matches are becoming quite popular, so these triggers would be perfect for those shooters
