I have a pair of the Geovid 10x42 BRF's and also the Swarovski Rangefinder and have used them side by side ranging prairie dogs in South Dakota for the last three years. On the flat dry grassland, I found essentially no diffence in ranging between the two. Maximum range was seven to eight hundred yards for this use for either one. The Geovids saved one step, but are awfully expensive, and the display is much harder to read than the Swarovski's.
Just my two cents. :)
Good shooting.
