For some number of years the Leech Cup was the only 1000-yard match shot with iron sights with “Any Rifles”. In recent years a second 1000 yard iron sight as well as a second “Any Sight” match have been added. The trophy for the overall winner of the Long Range National Championships is the Thompkins Trophy.
