We’ve done as you’ve suggested. Now posts prior to “Yesterday” will display: HR:MIN (am/pm) + M/D/YR

For example: 09:24 AM, 10/27/2009

Is it possible to put the complete date (day, month and year) of the post?
As it is, only the day of the week and hour appears.
With the complete date, we can know how old (or new) the post is.

I really think the new forum is a great improvement. Much faster loading and much easier to read with the larger fonts and bold typeface. Good job.

Thanks for the suggestions.
#1 — We’ll look into having some words from the topic appear when you hover over topic title. Benchrest Central does that (and it was, as you note, enabled in old forum)

#2 — New Posts. Not completely sure what you want here. But, on first page of FORUM, all categories (e.g. Varminter & Hunting) will show a GOLD folder if there are new posts. When you are inside a category, where the threads or “topic titles” are visible, there is a blue ICON that says “NEW” for all topics with new posts.

Also, after you log in, right under your user name at the top right, you can click on “Show unread posts since last visit.” That generates a page with ALL the new posts.

New classifieds ads are spotlighted on the right side-bar. We’re still tinkering with that feature, but it should be 100% very soon.

New forum: I miss new posts option- don’t want to go through all one at a time. Also, content of each thread showing when cursor is on it.Not as easy to use.

That’s something we will consider doing, but we also have some upgraded Classified features in the works, including the ability to set up auctions. We could then create time-limited ads and/or time-limited auctions.
