Just chatted with Lou Murdica. He is experimenting with a 6mm Grendel both for 600 yards (8-twist) and for short-range BR in heavy wind conditions (10-12 twist). He is impressed with the cartridge, saying it allows a 6PPC shooter to swap barrels and have an “instant long-range option”.

Great to see someone working with a 6mm version of the Grendel in a 600 yard benchrest match. After all the work we have done with the 6mmAR (6.5 Grendel necked down to 6mm), there is no doubt in my mind it can do very well in a bolt gun configuration. The AR-15 platform we work in with it is a little more restrictive, but the 6mmAR does very well there and some of the AR shooters have hammered out some great scores at 600 yards with them in prone matches as well.
