Weaver’s web site claims that they are part of the “Super Slam” line. They have the specs for the non-tactical equivalents. For the 3-15, it is ~34″, for the 4-20, 24.5″.

I’m now looking more at the upcoming Vortex Viper PST, which have models with FFP with matching units for knobs and reticle, for about the same price. Also has a zero stop.

What is the low end field of view on these, I can’t find specs anywhere?

Mil knobs would be great, but this is still a great deal. I played with one of these scopes and the adjustments are crisp, glass is damn clear and overall fit and finish is Nice! Under $700 @ Bruno’s.

FYI — Just released was information that Vortex will be offering a scope that will be FFP or SFP, with MRAD style reticles, and MIL/MIL turrets. Should be between $600-$800. Possible release date of early next year.

talk about being out of touch with your buying public. why would you go through all the work of designing a new scope if you weren’t going to do a little research? match the reticle with the knobs its really that easy.
.1 mil knobs with an even number of mils per turn and this scope really could have been something special.

Why did they half-ass it and put MOA knobs on these scopes instead of mil knobs? If you want a scope in these approximate magnification ranges (14x ish to 24x ish max mag) with FFP, mil knobs, and a mil-based reticle, there is nothing between the $350-400 Chinese imports and $1,500-$3,000 high end scopes. The closes is the $600 3-9×40 Super Sniper from SWFA, but that only goes to 9x.

If it had mil knobs, I would grab one in a heartbeat, because I’m looking for just such a scope, and don’t want to spend another four figs for a German scope.

Now if only weaver would have made the elevation and windage knobs match the reticle by having them graduated in .1 mil clicks instead of IPHY. They would sell like hotcakes BUT good idea anyway.
