I think that the most appealing stocks are a blend of correct geometry and an artistic eye. Solids can be scanned to digitize their measurements. Show me a fine sculpture that was originally done as a 3d cad exercise. Technology is no substitute for an hands and an artistic eye. They should work with the finest custom stock makers, and consult with builders of successful target rifles. After the prototype is done, it can be digitized and edited for symmetry.

I own 2 savage mark 2’s and always try to load 11 rounds in the 10 mag.
I bought a norinco jw-15 and noticed a 3/16 hole in the side of it’s magazine.When I put in the 5 round,brass appeared in the hole(1st round).
I think this hole is a good idea for Savage to incorporate into their magazines.10 round mag, locate 3/16 hole 2.150 inch down the mag and located in the middle raised land,both sides starting from red part.

The canidate needs to have good ears and eyes. So he can hear and see what is going on in the shooting community. This is where Savage have excelled in the last few years. There is still room for improvement. They have worked hard to take Remingtons #1 place in the American market.

Someone needs to help them improve their stock design, Savages have the ugliest stocks. The bolt handle should be changed as well, the handle is too strait and lifts too high.
