Personally, I am against allowing guns to be carried in vehicles. The gun storage compartment and especially the inside cab racks give me the creeps and make me feel vulnerable every time I see them. I’m sure that “unloaded” guns in glove compartments are rarely unloaded. Thanks, Chrysler and lawmakers for making it easier for hot headed road ragers, murderers, robbers, felons, terrorists, criminals of all types to have easier access to firearms on the road.

If you’re likely to shoot yourself with this arrangement, you’ll probably shoot yourself carrying your guns some other way too. It’s great to see any big company market openly to shooters and hunters – I hope it’s a sign of attitudes changing for the better.

It will be interesting to see how many people forget to unload the rifles in this thing and end up shooting themselves or other people when they hit a bump in the road and their half ounce trigger “slips”!

Great, now when I get T-boned it’s $2000 to fix my truck bed and $3500+ for each stowed rifle. I bet my insurance guy would have a heart attack! I’ll stick to a hard case that floats in the truck bed. Maybe they could move some side air bags to that compartment.
