Stop carping about the photos, captions, etc. I know the guy who took them, he’s a real amateur with a Nikon Coolpix… but I hear he’s buying a NightForce scope for it and will increase the load to maximum resolution next match.

Sounds good Jerry! Were looking to run the Fullbore Regional Course on Sept 25 & 26 and have our last match of the year Nov 6 & 7…

Like Emil said, this is a great chance for people to set some records and it creates great motivation to help support the discipline!

That’s probably the best way to handle it, waiting till the end of the year…

We are going to do it again Sept 11 NRA mid-range and Sept 12 Fullbore mid-range.
I heard that all of the “new” records will be held until year end and the highest will be recorded…..

It’s good that matches containing these courses of fire are being run, as it gives people a chance to set records.

The team records, for example, were set because nobody had ever shot some of the courses of fire-particularly the “Service” category.

Now I have to run a match at Benning to re-set all the records

It drives people to support the discipline.

Your Daily Bulletin list the New FTR National Record being won by team Camp Butner F-TRoop, ie: James Crofts, Phil Kelly, Joe Conley, and Jeff Rorer. The picture in the article looks like Dave Conrath and Nic Taylor. That is kinda like potting a Ford in a Chevrolet advertisment.

EDITOR: Nat… sometimes we have to place photos simply where they fit best in the layout. Also the images supplied were not captioned so yours truly had no idea who was who.

We ran mid-range matches in Sacramento in August — 27 pending national records. I also shot a 150 7X at 300 yards in F-T/R.
