Yes, phones and devices like the iPod Touch need frequent charging. However, they offer much versatility and functionality. A hard case such as an Otter will protect one very well. I think the JBM app is great and immediately switched over to the JBM engine when it became available in Ballistic. I use it on a Touch and have never needed connectivity.

I’m stating these things because I think you should be aware that there is compelling competition.

I like the idea of this much more than a phone! Great idea, glad someone finally made a dedicated ballistic computer with some atmospheric monitoring functions as well.

If the price is reasonable, I will be adding one to my gear when they are available.
