There was a recent deal that the seller change the content of his ad, after I had initiated a deal with him, so that he could sell the item to someone else. He did not want to ship the item to me in Hawaii even though I was willing to pay the extra cost. Which is kinda BS if you use USPS, because flat rate is flat rate.
Instead of waiting for me to respond to his terms, and I was the first responder, he changed his add to include CONUS, then sold it to someone else!
Then, when I questioned this he deleted the ad.
A pretty underhanded trick.

I was not very happy about this.

Don’t be afraid to do business with folks in Alaska and Hawaii!

No better Advice for both the sellers and buyers. I will never even make any offer if they don’t man up and play by the Classified Ad Rules and give contact info.

And yes please delete your ad if it’s sold…….nothing like waiting for a response on an item you asked a question about and find it sold on anohter Forum, and not listed as such either.

By all means don’t be bashfull about deleteing your add after the item has sold.

Editor: Amen to that. Instructions on how to delete your ad are provided on the board. However, buyers should still copy and retain the text of the advertisement (AND product photos) in case the item doesn’t arrive or in case there is a dispute as to quality/condition.
