I have a Masters in Marketing…..and was a top shooter when I was in the US Army. I also have experience in 6PPC Benchrest. I would bet good money that I can out shoot most of you on this page. Also,it is my understanding that there is new management at Mossberg and they have some new innovative ideas to bring to market. Don’t let the price fool you my little grasshoppers…..stand back and watch….it’s a new day….WAKE UP…!!!

great to see comments and for those who have the money to buy above the mid range that Mossberg sell in go on you .

Dont have a go at the manufacture for providing a good product for the $$$$ and remember it isnt the $500 or $5000 rifle that makes the difference it is the user !!!!

Good on Mossberg , Savage and Marlin for doing a good work horse range of rifles !!!!! I own all three makers coupled with Tikka , Sako ,Winchester and Browning !!!!!

Here in PA, not too many vendors are aware this is coming out. I inquired at 3 and had to give them information about the MVP 223. One place told me that they are going in two weeks, to a buyers show, where they usually order their Mossberg models.
I am interested when & where this rifle becomes available, so I can order one…

Message body Ken, Thanks for your email. The MVP Series of rifles is a very exciting and innovative concept. Due to a delay from a vendor, who is supplying some parts, production will not begin until later this month. I would anticipate MVP Varmint rifles on dealer’s shelves in March. Look for more introductions to this family of bolt-action rifles later this year. Several publications have featured very-detailed reviews of the MVP rifle. Mossberg is widely accepted as a value for money firearm in Australia. The are popular as a ranch gun and get banged around in the back of the ute and on trail bikes. The MVP will be popular down under due to our thin skinned game such as Roos, Foxes and Dingos the 10round detachable magazine is a positive plus for us Aussie shooters.

Great concept, too bad it is on a platform with a “walmart special” reputation.

Mossberg hasn’t built anything decent since the old model 151 rimfires. I’d be shocked if this was any good.
