After barrel break-in, I noticed scratches on the case sides. This scratch made unlocking the bolt quite hard. There are scratches on the bolt length and wear marks that rifles with 2000 rounds thru them do not have. The magazine is not securely captured in the mag well, and may be contributing to a rough bolt cycling action. The ejector is also dimpling the base of the cases. The magazine does not release with just the release button and requires that the mag be "jiggled" to get it out.The rifle was sent back to Savage once already, ......which was at MY EXPENSE!!!!!!
The case scratching issue was minized but not elimated. The rifle is ready to be returned again, as soon as my local gun shop guy gets info from the savage rep. This is not my first Savage rifle.... but it may be my last!!!!

The Model 110 FCP .338LM certainly has a good price point compared to any other lapua magnums on the market. The larger bolt face makes it more difficult to rechamber an action for those who build w/custom barrels; this looks like the most affordable option.

Savage has figured out what long range hunters want, hopefully they offer a barrel longer than 26" as an option in the future.

It's amazing how many times Savage is able to shine up the same ol' [thing]. How many times do they intend to [sell the same rifle] in a new wrapper?
