Are you still available to answer some questions about you 6mm BRX. I just recently bought you old 6.5 x 284 Nesika from Jack and would like to E-mail you directly if possible.

Thanks

I was shoot 1000 yds benchrest with Bob when he came up with the BRX. I Want to do something like at. Bob said I could used his reamer if I would send it to his gunsmith. My current gunsmith had the new Bill Shehane 6BRBS reamer. Bill moved the shoulder out more than the BRX or Dasher, it had a 40 deg shoulder like he Dasher. Bob moved to my new gunsmith Richard Franklin, that is when I went to the 6BRX.

Eric
The reamer print posted is Robert Whitleys reamer and not Bob Crones.

Eric

I think you are mistaken if you are referring to the JGS print, as it has the correct head space of .100" longer than a 6mm BR Norma. The typical PT&G 6mm BRX print uses a .330" shoulder head space datum, but the JGS print uses a .350" shoulder head space datum.

This would explain why the print on the cartridge diagram is wrong. It is the Shehane length and is .020 longer. If you look at this diagram or the ones from Dave Kiff (PT&G) you will see that all the diagrams are shorter than the one listed in the 6BRX diagram.
