Hi guys,im a two tour vietnam vet, was a combat
Medic,I serve from 1967_1968 when the viet cong through their surprise party(tet) my medical unit was swamped with south vietnaneses and vc wounded, many in my unit got their hands on the “fired once and dropped”m1and m2 carbines from our allied friends.i carried a m1 carbine for the rest of my tour.i got a legacy m1 22 cal and I love it!to me it looks like the real thing have had no trouble with Iit at all(maybe) the flashbacks)lol to me it looks and feels like the real deal.

A great gun right from the box. Bought it on May 6, 2013, went right to range and out of the box to sight it in. Did so in 20 shots. Very easy and I love this rifle. shot 30 more rounds with no problens or jams. Thank you.

I bought a new wood stock variety from Cabela’s. The magazine was not a great fit. (very loose) THE GUN WAS A TOTAL FAILURE AT THE RANGE. I could not get the gun to run without constant failures no matter which ammo I tried. The gun failed to fire or eject more often than it worked. I returned the gun and they did not have anymore. This is my total experience with Chiappa firearms.

NJ doesn’t allow Auto Ordnance’s new replicia because of it’s name, M1 Carbine. That name appears on the list NJ has for specifically banned firearms. If the M1A were called an M14 it too would be illegal in NJ because the M14 is named on the nasty list. I believe this .22 is also banned in NJ only because of a name. Maybe the manufacture will realize it’s all in a name and call in something else.

does the bolt hold open on the last round? I think it looks like a fun gun.
