Savage is out to make money... keep that in mind. They need product lines like shown above to make the bank, then they can supply the smaller/less-profitable markets.

I'd love to see left-handed target actions as much as everyone else, but that's a very small market compared to what all of the above products are targeting. I think they're doing a good job of expanding into "new demographics," but that's risky in its self... what happens if their new models don't sell, or don't draw in the group of consumers they're aiming at? I guess that's a question asked every time a company reaches out to a new market/demographic.

RAWWWWWWRRR, Edsel, now thats funny. Truth be told, I never considered a Savage action for anything until I saw Gary Elesio's ability to work CNC magic on aluminum billets and transform a sows ear into a silk purse. That and the fact that it is fairly cheap and comes with an acceptable trigger from jump street. The only weakness of the savage action is the extractor now IMHO.

Agreed Nat, I am sick and tired of seeing all these sexy Eliseo S-1 rifles on the line and not one damn one in southpaw configuration !!! For some reason the chasis system on the savage just "out looks" the sleved look of the R-5 or R-1 to me. I been waiting patiently. . .and waiting. . .and waiting. . .
