I like the idea of getting a grip that will display the number of rounds left in the clip. That could help out when I am at a competition. I can focus less on how many rounds I have and more on hitting my targets.

For comparison, this device (http://www.southern-gun.co.uk/?page=countashot) has been available for a couple of years now. It simply clamps to a Picatinny rail and requires no other modifications.

I think this technology was introduced several years ago as “gun control” alternative to microstamping. It could record GPS location of the weapon, time fired, angle of fire, azimuth, etc. and would be set up so only police could read your weapon info by radio link on demand. They drive by your house and see you had an A.D. in the garage, or you shot at tin cans in an unauthorized area and bust the door in and confiscate your weapon because you are a danger to society. . .Good idea or Trojan Horse ??? Maybe after Obama’s operation “Fast and Furious” I am a little paranoid.
