Norma and Lapua are very similar in terms of quality. I will try to explain why I feel Norma is better. I have used both in loads for the 6.5x55. Norma has thinner necks, which I find to be more uniform in thickness. I get the impression that Lapua intends for people to turn the necks of their brass, which I don't do. I haven't noticed a difference in case life. After about 10 full length resizing, no failed cases for either. The main reason I choose Norma is my groups end up .25" smaller than when I load cartridges with Lapua. This is with extensive load development. It probably has something to do with the difference in neck tension. Anyway, I hope I answered your question. I get my .222 barrel back today and I am anxious to see what Norma Brass will do for that cartridge.

How does the Norma compare to Lapua?

I'm thinking of using it for my K31 and Sako .300 WinMag, which I can't get in Lapua.

That's great. I checked the prices and I am psyched that I can get great .222 brass for $13/25 pieces. Plus I can now buy the small count boxes to have quality brass around for my Mauser's and K31. I've already experienced the difference Norma brass makes in my 6.5x55 Encore. I will be using their brass exclusively from now on. For me, they hit this new launch out of the park.
