We don’t need this the guided bullet is a step in a better direction. Imagine the spotter pulls out a scope that can mark “paint” multiple targets with lasers all color coded. The sniper loaded his laser guided bullets into his rifle shots in the direction of “painted” targets all bullets adjust themselves no need for calculations. Sounds like something out of Tom Clancys books very near or possible old technology.

please hide this system from the Cartels, as it takes a thug and turns them into a possible marksman. although mike has a great point about mirage. that seems to be my achillies heel when shooting in SW New Mexico.

The OneShot system provides a wind profile that shows the estimation of the wind at over 100 places between the target and the muzzle. Once Sniper Scouts teams get used to the system (about 2 days) they like it as it allows them to do their job easier.

As the Brits say it does what is says on the tin.

I have used the system extensively when in development and testing and it is quite a system. I also shoot F-class competitively so I have some idea of shooting at long range.

This week it hit me to try to invent a Scope that could estimate distance as well as wind. Which lead me to googling this topic only to find out that it has been patented only 7 months prior. Damn my luck. Back to the drawing board.

These systems will never replace the utility of an experienced shooter who possesses the skills of wind reading, but it is a real boon for less experienced shooters. In terms of military utility, it is a game changer.

I’ve seen and used a prototype of the one shot, and it does perform as advertised.
