Luis
The PBS system described in this instance has the scoring rings on every overlay. Weather it be pistol or rifle targets.
So there for it works great with scoped rifles as well. If you look close in the picures you will see the rings and numbers.

.

I use this type of eletronic target since 2000 and it works wonderful for open/metalic sights.

But for scoped sighted rifles and handguns a paper target has to be put on the rubber black target of the score frame. It is the only way to have a aiming point as the rubber black target on the frame is just a big black circle, with no score rings or any mark at all, which is fine for metalic shooting, but not for scoped rifles shooting.

There are no paper targets involved in this system. The target overlays are self healing rubber and engineered to be installed in the correct position. I've been using mine for several years without issue.

The precision of "a few hundredth millimeters" applies only if the paper bull at which you aim is fixed to the electronic target with the same accuracy. Both centers must be exactly in the same location.

This may become a problem if you zero your rifle on an electronic target but are not aware that the center of the bull is, say, mounted 4 inches away from the center of the electronic target. You are in for an unpleasant suprise in the field.
