Hi folks, sorry for getting an answer to this. But heck, it's only been two years!

Yes, I make the bore guides out of 1616 aluminum arrow shafts. The only material on earth that fits EXACTLY what is needed. I buy the shaft material as simple tubing from Easton. It is hard anodized, the perfect wall thickness and doesn't look too bad either. The costs are in the process, not the material. But these arrow shafts actually cost more than raw aluminum tubing if I could purchase it in the proper wall thickness.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

I love my 17 HMR, I use the possum hollow bore guide (works really well, stocked on midway) and it holds up to the harsh montana x-treme solvents, I use a bore tech rod which is EXCELLENT. I've shot many 1 hole groups with it at 80 yards, and have shot to 500 yards with it. In my opinion it is the best of the rimfires. I'm glad another company is jumping on the bandwagon for rimfire boreguides, not enough company's make them!
