Let me see if I have this right. Immediately following the call of the shot by the scorer, the shot is challenged by the shooter. A challenge requires the pit/target officer to personally inspect the target. The pit officer, seeing no visible hit within the scoring lines, denies the challenge. Then, the stat office not only changes the score to what the shooter wants, but also rules negatively on a protest based upon the word of the pit officer?

Wow!

I don't understand how after the challenge is issued and lost the competitor is then able to make any other effort to have the miss removed from their score.
