Dan,
It's obvious you don't shoot benchrest and it is also obvious that you do your hunting from a standing position only. While I applaud the traditional discipline you use when using your firearm and your willingness to only shoot when using the "hold it up stand and shoot" method, you have to realize that these are competition rifles and require a certain skill level that takes time, money and dedication. Try not to be too judgmental, someone may take issue with you method the next time you send a bullet into the rear end of an animal instead of the vital area, where I'm sure it would have gone had you been using a rest.

Dan,
At almost 6/10's of a mile, that's 10 shots in 3.495 inches.(That's about the size of the top of your beer can) Somehow the wieght of the gun does not seem to have any direct correlation to accuracy. I do believe you will find that both the ammunition and the shooter play a part.

67 pounds? Thats not a rifle it is a small caliber artillery piece. If you can't hold it up and shoot it standing why do we bother calling them rifles anymore? Congrats on the record if that is your thing but come on 67 lbs is twice the weight of a couple .50 BMGs combined. What is really being tested here the ammo or the shooter?
