Great work on 15-55x52mm competition scope. This is really superb and impressive scope. It offers side parallax adjustment and high contrast resolution. Its weight is lower than the other models. The features are good specifically its longest magnification range 15-55x and objective diameter 52 mm. Thanks for this nice post.

I have always favored Nightforce. Great scopes, but at first glance I don't care for the limited reticle selection at all (Give me an NP2-DD any day) and I would love to have seen a larger objective diameter rather than smaller than the BR scope.

I also second Rikky's sentiments about the MOA/revolutions and zero stop.

For the money, this is making a Schmitt Bender a more attractive buy.

I usually don't post more than once but this new scope range Nightforce are putting out are not offering anything the competition has had on the market for years.

I am getting the feeling that the guys are NF are playing catch-up but don't really know how to break new ground like they did back in the 90s with fixed power and high mag zooms.

My initial comments based on the paper figures are: too heavy - the comparable March for example weighs in at 710 grams.

Turret covers - too fiddly for match shooters and not required with modern manufacturing methods.

5 MOA rotations - too small - need to work on 10 MOA as an industry standard in 2013.

Focus: 25m is still too far for the 20m 22lr BR guys. The competition can do 10m @ 60 power.

And a zero stop has to be standard at this price.

Since it is not a minimal 4x multiple on the power it is not a true 30mm optics, RIGHT? It is just a 30mm tube. This according to the scope companies themselves when asked at the shot show. Why not put out a true 30mm optics scope?
