Colorado House Bill 1224 actually bans magazines with capacities greater than 10 rounds.

EDITOR: As passed out of committee yesterday evening, the bill was AMENDED to raise the limit to 15 for rifle/pistols and 8 for shotguns. These changes are not reflected in the linked text version, which has not been updated yet. Denver Post reports: "After about 6 hours of debate, members of the Colorado House on Friday afternoon gave preliminary approval of a bill banning high-capacity ammunition magazines that hold more than 15 rounds. Opening remarks on the House floor Friday surrounded a committee report that increases a ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines from 10 to 15 rounds. Much of the debate also centered around a Democratic amendment to the bill that clarifies manufactures can make and sell high-capacity magazines to individuals out-of-state and the U.S. military. The amendment came in response to a Colorado magazine manufacturer vowing to leave state if the measure passes." Link: http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_22598247/colorado-house-opens-debate-ban-high-capacity-ammo
