Just got mine in the mail. Because I live in Alberta Canada the $100 turned into $201.00 with shipping and exchange. That’s ok because it’s a cool toy. However when it is installed I can’t cycle the bolt and that’s frustrating. I don’t know how many of these they have sold but I would say at least 50-75% are probably mounted on bolt action rifles. Don’t they ever try there own stuff. I’ll call customer service and see how that goes.

I used this product to make videos for GA Precision this summer.

It is “ok” but I had to change one of the screws to let the bolt action work, and it was still not extremely secure. Only low recoil guns would work well, it was moving around with braked guns that weren’t large.

hmmm… reviews on Amazon don’t look promising. Some report problems with bold actions. I actually wonder if this might work with a Hawkeye borescope? That sure would save a heck of a lot of money vs the video capture option

Sounds like a great accessory. Only question is – are iphones made to withstand big recoiling rifles?

Shiraz: I certainly can’t make any guarantees (and I’d be sure to have ones warranty active). However, the manufacturer says this: “Q: Will the recoil of the gun hurt my smartphone: A: No. We have fully tested the Smartphones listed above and no internal or external damage has been detected. However if you plan to use a shotgun or a gun with an extreme amount of recoil than we suggest that you use the provided Rubber Recoil Bands. Simply place one band on the left and one on the right around the Smartphone and the back plate together so that your Smartphone will be secure and not pop out of the back plate during extreme recoil.”
