Brownells tried with TSJC and the and the administration and staff failed to make it succeed. Having taught NRA short courses at several of the gun smith schools, I have personally observed that the schools have a traditional mentality, many are staffed with their own graduates. They will not accept changes in methodology and ideal ology. Brownell has tried to interject new, innovative thinking, popular firearm makes, and the prosperous aspects to gun smithing. Some of the old schools are just not ready for that. This new school has several things going for it. It is a private school, and does not have the government/political strings attached. It is centrally located in the central making it equal distant from everyone. It located closer to and has the endorsement of Brownells. Maybe MidwayUSA, Pacific Tool and Gauge, The Freedom Group, ADK, Cabelas, and others will join in with supporting this new gun smithing program.
