Well....
I was fortunate enough to acquire an
XP-100 in .222Rem with custom Shilen Barrel, a custom Tiger Strip Maple stock with Rosewood forend and grip base accents. I was told it had been put together by Shilen himself.
Well from they way it shoots, I believe that to be true.
With my hand loads it shoots unbelievably
well. 0.33 inches at 100 yds.
Leupold Optics, custom Turner Leather Sling.
I always have it with me and available at the range or hunting.
It is a pleasure to shoot and is pleasant
to introduce new people to the sport.
Nothing is as encouraging as success.
I find few things as off putting as
video of guys introducing girls to the sport with a magnum then posting the video. It is not funny.
The .222Rem is a delight unless you're a varmint.

Interesting stuff. I would like to see what Dan's gun could do on a Trifecta Handgun Hunting Rest. I have not been able to shoot that well, but my guns are not fined tuned like Dan's. I imagine he is also a better shooter.
