I wanted a FFP version so I went with the Pride Fowler scope. I had an older version of their 3x-9x for 22lr and it’s been great but I always wanted a little more magnification. I should have this one mounted for testing this weekend.

I like the idea of a .22LR scope with a BDC reticle, but don’t see the point in making it a variable if it’s not FFP, and don’t see the point of target turrets when the reticle is there to do the drop compensating (and when cheap scopes are not known for tracking well). I’d also ask what magnification the is reticle calibrated for, and if there is a detent on the zoom ring to indicate this. The only benefit of the SFP configuration I can see here is that you can “tune” the magnification setting to the MV of your load and mark up the zoom ring accordingly.

This would have been nice to see against the Nikon P-223 3-9 I just bought for my .22 savage.
