Forget the zoom 20-60x and get the LER 27x it makes peeping conditions back and forth much easier and isn’t a bear to get in view. They have their place but for shooting I think the LER eye piece is the way to go. I have one on my Kowa 821M and it is the bee’s knees.

Editor: The wide=angle, fixed-power Pentax eyepieces are excellent and we like to use them also. However, if you are trying to spot bullet holes in paper at 400 yards and beyond, you need the higher magnification offered by the 20-60X. Different tools for different tasks.

I bought one with a 20-60 Zoom. An acquaintance has a fixed power long eye relief. My zoom is a disappointment while his fixed is impressive???

I too have one of these and found it as good as the Kowa TSN-4 I sold (straight eye piece wasn’t working for me on the line). Great color, contrast and resolution. The mount is standard 1.25″ telescope and I was able to buy an inexpensive adapter to fit a Kowa 25x LER eyepiece on it. Perfect!

I have one of these I found at a pawn shop for 100.00 plus a small tripod. The focusing knob was broken and Iset it to Pentax and they fixed it for free as the warranty is lifetime!!! Good Scope, I have the 20-60 zoom eyepiece that came with it and in good conditions I can see .308 holes at 500 yds.!!
