I can't download the books ... It's just me or anybody else is having the same trouble ???

Editor: Pablo -- Once you open a link for a book:

1. Look for the Red "Ebook Free" button on the left (under the Google Logo). That will give you options to read online, send to eReader, or download as a PDF.

OR

2. look for the dark gray Gear icon in the upper right=hand corner of the screen. Mouse over that for a drop-down menu. You probably want to select "Download PDF", but you can also select "My Library" if you have a Google account.

I was the third generation in my mother's family to have a copy of Whelen's The American Rifle and studied it regularly begining as a teen ager. Passed it along to a teen age cousin about five years ago. The only regret was it was not printed on acid free paper and the pages were showing signs of disentegration. The former owners had been in the Spanish American War, World War II, and myself in the Korean War.

Anyone who has not looked through "The Bullet’s Flight From Powder to Target" should really consider it. I've found myself reading sections of that book on multiple occasions, after being directed there in a Google search. They did a serious amount of testing with all kinds of bullet designs, reducing muzzle blast, barrel tuning, barrel crowning, and all kinds of other subjects. One of the most interesting tests they performed included purposely 'roughing up' one spot on the muzzle (just inside the bore), then shooting a group with the barrel rotated 90 degrees (4 groups total, each shot with the rough side of the muzzle rotated to a different degree). The results are shown on targets (shown in the book), which is pretty cool!

VERY interesting stuff in that book!
