The flash at 3:10 is intermediate flash, not secondary flash (unburnt propellant ignition). The effect is caused by the propellant gases moving through the Mach disc of the bottle shock where they are recompressed. As they are recompressed, they glow brightly.
Terrific slow motion, I'm interested in
how far the 338 barrel moves before the
bullet exit, tracking. And after the
gas has done flowing out of the barrel,
the negative pressure pulls gas and
carbon back into the barrel. It shows
why carbon builds up just inside the
muzzle. Thanks for video. David2
