Is any form of licensing required if i manufacture or sell jigs for carving an 80 lower pocket? How about if I just sell files for printing the jigs on 3d or cnc machines. Can I sell the cnc program to do the actual pocket carving with the jig?? E.g would I need a license to make or sell diy plans for converting a standard cnc to a “ghost gunner”?

Also this isn’t necessarily the truth. It varies greatly from agent to agent. It’s not what the ATF says but what your local department says. It sounds stupid but it’s the way the government works.

If you go to an 07ffl, you might as well as figure your going to get an ITAR registration if your smart.

The real trick comes after you upgrade to a FFL07 Manufacturer. You’ll likely need to register with the US Department of State for ITAR compliance.
