ELR Researcher - The Bullseye AmmoCam Long Range Edition features a point to point wireless system and the small case (12"x6"x3") is a base station receiver that sits by the shooter, where as the AmmoCam goes downrange.

With our products there is no need to put antennas way up in the air, etc.

Our software also shows the last shot, or group of shots, flashing so you can easily see them, something a video feed camera can't do.

I just checked my e-mail and found a message from these folks announcing the $349 model and a "Bullseye AmmoCam™ Long Range Edition – MSRP $649". I checked their site but found nothing about the second model. The associated pic shows, in addition to the case shown in this article, a second case which appears to be Cordura, zippered, and about the same height but narrower.

Editor: The Blueseye AmmoCam Long-Range Edition, priced at $649.00 is shown here: http://www.bullseyecamera.com/ammocam.html

Scroll down page. This includes an additional transceiver to extend range.

If you want to go substantially further, go with the actual TargetCam - with extended range (auxiliary) antennas. See http://www.targetcam.net . I tested mine to 5 MILES with NO signal/video loss - I am reasonably sure I could have gone further but to what purpose, and I was starting to burn, literally, no sun screen. I purchased a unit in the Summer of '13 with two (2), optional directional antennas (for both ends). It cost me $947, shipped. My target was uphill from me, the camera was on a short tripod about 10 feet in front of the target and a bit to one side, and I mounted the down-range antenna about 7-8 feet in the air - probably not needed (that high in the air) as I was downhill from it. I came away VERY pleased! Reading the score ring numbers very clearly, and watching my target blowing in the breeze (got several rips because of wind) at 5 miles, was unreal! But, as the saying goes, "your mileage may vary."
