Watch the recoil of each shot of each shooter. No recoil, forward flinch, extract shell case, fire behind cartridge with dead or(probably) no powder. Out of battery would cause damage, but not this level. Bullet stuck in barrel equals mini-hand grenade. Lucky gal.

My cousin had just got a minty springfield and the same thing happened , injuring him and stuff blew all over me. I went through his ammo only to find one other high primer. It went off out of battery so when using hand loads take extra time to make them right and seat your primers deep. The cmp replaced it with a near new H&R.

She also posted comments about what happened. She is indicating an Out of Battery discharge.. she also mentioned “I have lots of splinters and bruising, but nothing broken. My left hand took the brunt of the blow to my wrist and palm of my hand. Still pretty painful, but I will be fine. ”

As you can imagine there was a pretty lengthy discussion about this video on the CMP forums when this occurred.

if you scroll thro frame by frame you will see her eject a case or round by hand. Not enough power from round to cycle action. Bullet in bore seems logical. Ejected case
or barrel inspection will hold answer.
