While you can get 3300 FPS out of this cartridge case with 180 grain Bullets, you can take a smaller 300 Blaser Magnum Case and get 3140 FPS out of it with a 230 grain Berger Hybrid. You also can take 300 Norma Magnum and neck it down to 7mm and drive 180-195 grain bullets at speeds that will ballisticly better the 300 Norma Magnum variant.

Nice. What a beautiful package. I'm not all that great at small groups on paper at extreme distance, but love trying to ring steel out to mile with my old .300Win. Wish I had the means of building a rig like this one. Well done.

Guy and Alan are correct. 10 mph, 1000 yard crosswind deflection of 230 Hybrids @ 3140 is ~4.14 MOA. 180 Hybrids @ 3050 (per article) is ~4.90 MOA, only an 18% difference. Even a .284 Win @ 2850 produces ~5.46 MOA, ~32% difference. So, not close to half.

I also strongly question whether author can actually perform with this combination over 70-75 shots.

"Erin go big." Who is Erin?

Editor: This is a play on words. "Erin Go Bragh" is the Anglicization of the Irish (Gaelic) phrase Éirinn Go Brách, which is translated "Ireland Forever" (literally it means "Ireland until doomsday"). "Erin Go Bragh" is commonly used to celebrate the Irish spirit and show solidarity with Ireland.
