Yeah New Zealand is great hunting. Getting firearms in and out of NZ is straight forward too. Not so for Australia! We just download a free hunting permit and go for it. I dont hunt birds which has a season but all the other animals are free to hunt all year except Wapiti and White Tail. Minimum caliber is 222. If you want to hunt something that could hunt you, we have wild Bulls. They are 1000kg + and do not like to share.

How about New Zealand. A safe Country for a Start. But you can hunt; Red Deer, Elk, Fallow Deer, Rusa Deer, Sambar, Sika, White Tail, Himalayan Tahr, Alpine Chamois, Feral Goats wild pigs as well as Ducks, Geese, Swans and Rabbits Hares Possums and Wallabies. Food for thought.

Personally I would love to go on a polar bear hunt on pack ice. Enormously dangerous, perilous, and difficult but what a story that could be.
