As a competitive clay shooter it never stops to amaze me the number of people that do not wear hearing protection even when just looking.

I am hearing-mpaired, noise related, and now wear sets of defenders, moulds and cups together, just to preserve what I have left.

Thats to bad Richard, hope you dont have to give it up. I run six across the course matchs every year with mine and they seem to do the trick. Lost my hearing from radiation, not shooting.

I do hear “pretty well” with the cochlear implant. I love to bowhunt because I am out hearing nature again. But conversations are still difficult.
I don’t hear commands on the firing line or in the pits. I is not fair to the other shooters to be burdened with me. I may have to quit the sports I love because I did not wear protection in my younger days.

Richard King, surprised your not doing better with your cochlear implant, I have them on both ears and hear pretty well with them. Some times you dont appreciate things till there gone.
