If you are only talking about seeing the hits on target (since there will be, as best I know, no pits), that is simply wrong. I’ve tested my TargetCam out to 5 MILES and the picture was as clear as at 10 yards. That equipment was available and offered to the promoters. If you expanded the first statement to include “rifle scopes”, that is also wrong. There are scope bases readily available that will quite effectively extend a scope’s internal elevation capabilities by 150 or even 300 MOA. The problem was and is that the “promoters” decided on and publicized the event name before they had their ducks in line with Whittington. For those interested in shooting this event, they were down to the last 6-8 “alternates” slots about a month ago. This event – at least the first year – is “sponsored by” FCSA, it is NOT an FCSA event. The “rules” are as stated in the “Read the rest of this entry” portion of the article…possibly subject to some specific concerns on safety issues.
