Which Loctite is recommended to bond or glue the barrel extension into the upper receiver? JB Weld would limit my ability to remove a barrel. Could I “bed” the barrel extension to the receiver with the JB Weld and hone to fit with Brownells hone?

Compared to making 6mmAR brass from 6.5 Grendel, making 6HAGAR from .25/.30 Remington cases is a PITA. All the 6.8SPC brass (also developed from 30REM) available is too short by about 0.07″ sadly.

Word has it that there’s soon to be factory 6HAGAR brass available that will make 6HAGAR shooters very happy….

I have a 6mmAR 1/8 tw Krieger 26″ – A la R Whitley (exquisite maching by Fred @ Sabreco) and the very first time I ever shot it , all 5 90g bergers essentially went into the same ragged hole. scary accuracy from a matte black rifle with a plastic stock. a work of art that works.

Isn’t the 6mm AR just a copy of the now popular 6 Hagar which has done quite well in the hands of Carl Bernosky at Camp Perry?

EDITOR: John — They are two completely different cartridges. The 6mmAR is a 6.5 Grendel necked down to 6mm. The 6 Hagar is based on the .30 Rem case. The 6mmAR is easy to make. The 6 Hagar is formed from .30 Rem brass. The shoulder is pushed back and the shoulder changed to 30 degrees. The neck is then cut and trimmed to length and the brass fireformed.
