The only ammo confiscation I could verify was the SA team. There are some internet rumors about the Kiwis ammo, but no source.

I think we all know what’s going on here. Unfortunate and embarrassing, but it’s our illustrious U.S. Federal Government at work.

What gets me is that no reason is given.

All the hard work that was done tuning the loads before hand is now for naught. Now a different powder has to be used with no idea as to the performance and consistency.

Kudos to everyone helping out. I am sure it is greatly appreciated by the SA team. But the more cynical might think the seizure was intentional.

So why is US Customs seizing ammo?

From the report above South Africa is affected and ChrisNZ says that New Zealand is also affected so which other countries are affected and what is being done to help them?

What about the other teams coming to compete? I see that New Zealand is in the same boat. Is big brother confiscating all the teams ammo when it comes into the country?

why don’t you approach the ATF and U.S. Customs and try to get there ammo back? Seems like the ATF and customs made a mistake, and if you reason with them you might get it back!! Sorry to hear what happened. Gord

Great work U.S. Customs. We all feel much safer knowing the South Africans won’t be running free inside the country with their match ammunition.

Uhm . . after your coffee break, maybe you could do something about the Southern border.
