Are not the 6×45 and the 6-223 the same ? Or is a difference in shoulder/neck length there ?

What would be different between this 6mm-.223 and the apparently more commonly referenced 6×45 wildcat? Or for that matter a .243-223? Or a .243-45 if you want to get really crazy?!

Personally I favor keeping the units consistent. So for my taste, it’s either a 6×45 or a .243-223 but to each his own.

Looks like a fun build whatever you call it!

One of the older gunwriters(Bob Milek or Jim Carmichael, I think) was a great proponent of the ctg. He raved about the accuracy and long barrel life.

I use a reamer from Pacific tool.
I would be curious of the 107 load from reply above.

Had a 6×45 built, loaded long (2.5″) with 107SMK’s getting 2600fps from a 21″ barrel. No complaints.
